He was asked the question and explictly said he didn't know the school and they hadn't applied for recognition in Senegal. Perhaps one of our members can relisten to the BBC feed and type it verbatim.

The truth is (I have said this since the story broke) the GMC has all the power here. School and Senegal provides (if they did what they said they did) and then GMC rules. End of story.

Dude, you're dillusional! Are you sure you're not on the staff at SC? You really think it's unfair to warn prospective students of holding back from their application -- and that's generally what's happening, people are saying delay your application, rather than 'don't go, ever'.

School and Senegal provides ... and yes, we wait.

That's what interested me. The head of school waves a bit of paper 'here's proof we're legit' ... reporter gives it a read, and asks for a copy, and is told no you can't have a copy... why not?

Of course, some would say 'this proves nothing' ... well, you're right ... but it infers a whole lot of something.

What exactly do you dispute?

That there is a cloud of suspicion over the school due to the GMC suspending the recognition of diplomas and initiating an investigation?

No don't dispute anything, just this how many imes dos the same thing have to be posted? It' like a broken CD that is stuck on the same part of the song.
Yes new students should defer or go else where until the outcome is clear but to continue to repost for now is just not right.

Why should they not have access to this information?

(Because, by not reposting it one is effectively denying them access to it.)

You may not like it, the SC admin certainly doesn't like it, but that's the whole point of fora like this one. The truth bubbles to the surface. In this case, the inconvenient (for SC) facts of the matter are as PathOne pointed out above.

Continuing to repost the same post is against TOS here. The problem is if I made a sticky of the GMC statement you would still repost.

Discussion is what this place is for not your personal soapbox. You and other's gang up on anyone with the opinion that St. Chris can overcome this.

This official per other reports, was not in Office in 1999-2000 and it was not his job to know everything.

Also it was reported he misspoke and a missunderstanding on his part, English is not his first lanuage. I do not know how true this is but further investigation by the GMC and by Senegal into this will reveal this as true or not.
