Gmc

PathOne makes a good point, but not a complete point (no offense).

The GMC has not only suspended acceptance of the St. Chris degree, it suspended the degree from Dakar (Senegal). Give it some thought?

That is the point, Sine qua non!

George

AMEN to that!

Until the school and/or GMC releases an official statement, everything said on this board is speculation.

Absolutely!

Until the school and/or GMC releases an official statement, everything said on this board is speculation, and essentially - in my opinion - a waste of time, regardless of the fact that this is obviously an important and distressing issue for current or prospective St. Chris students.

Yet there are outsiders to the school who continue to repost and post about this in order to keep newbies from going to the school. I think it's wrong. If a new person asks about the school these posters are convinced they are the only ones with the truth but I and others have proven over and over that it's more opinion than truth.

The truth is (I have said this since the story broke) the GMC has all the power here. School and Senegal provides (if they did what they said they did) and then GMC rules. End of story.

And we wait.............................................. .......................

My son scored a 1140 on his GREs and will do a PHD it appears. He is interested in neuropsychology currently but my guess is neurology is ahead for him. Thanks for asking.

Reminder,

This thread is to post about St.Chris, not personal information. It will be great if everyone here would refrain from asking personal questions etc since it is not the nature of this thread.

Congrats to Azskeptic!

Az, congratulations on the news of your son. That's great!

I assume he had no interest in going to SABA?

As for the Senegalese official (the Director of Higher Education) not knowing about SC, that does seem rather odd, doesn't it? Could it be sloppy reporting? Certainly, nobody is disputing the school's charter since 2003--and this official had no knowledge of the school when asked in 2005?????? Could it be, as the Senegalese government has alleged, that the BBC misquoted this official?
my bad. he showed a photocopy of an unverifiable document. the point i was trying to make is still pretty valid though. if the school had verifiable documents stating the relationship with senegal, there would have been no story. if the senegalese govt appeared to know about the school, there would be no story.

sloppy reporting is certainly possible. but, that sure seems to be a big speculation.

Listen to the BBC show again to the interview with the official. he said it pretty clearly.
