well

Well then Picard does not know people at UConn as well as he says, this is his comments:

Quote:
One interesting thing though -- there is a very recent report of a Kizegi graduate being asked to leave residency in MA and subsequently restarted her residency from the very beginning in UConn because of licensing issues... according to this grad, NJ was not an option for her because she does not qualify for NJ licensure because of Kizegi...

P
That is definately NOT what is said here:

Saloni Anand, MD

Born in Afghanistan and partially raised in Afghanistan and India, I moved to the United States at a young age to live here for the rest of the time. After finishing college at Kigezi International School of Medicine. I returned to the U.S. to do rotations after spending 3 years in England, and ended up getting into a Family Residency Program at UMDNJ-Plainsboro. After completing my first year in New Jersey, I am joining St. ******* Family Medicine Residency to finish the rest of the 2 years of my residency. The theme, so far, seems to do with moving around and I love traveling. So, although, it does get tiresome, moving constantly has been fun and adventurous. I am looking forward to traveling some more in the future, hopefully with family medicine at the forefront of it all.

So she did not do residency in MA, she did it in NJ. She did not have to start over in Ct, she is starting PGY-2. Wrong about two of your major points. So it is fair to think that the rest of your assertions about her being kicked out of her residencyt are also most likely erroneous.

hell, picard's been lying now...i thought all he did was come up with his hypothetical doomsday scenarios...

This is not the way an attending should behave, but i guess that could be hypothetical too.

Also, I just wanted to set the dates right for Picard...u see the early st chris students would have taken the MLE around 2000 after doing basic sciences...so they did have a charter by then, causing no problems... Now a thorough check is required for licensure, so this detail might have prevailed.

smart

If you guys were smart you would sit back and say "we'll just let our accomplishments speak for themselves". Sure it may take a while, but that is what it is going to take. Instead, there are nothing but a bunch of medical students telling half-truths and blatant lies to people who know better. I wonder who you guys are trying to convince, us, or yourselves?? G

No, the point is that you can not believe everything Picard says. I thought people would have been smarter than that by now.

At least now we know why he was scared to give out more details.

Picard this seems pretty suspicious/shady. Is that why you didn't want to give BTS all the information? I would never have expected this from you.

switching residencies

just wanted to know if switching residencies is not a common practise, especially for IMGs... i understand the issue is the eventual fate of the individual in this case, but still...

i know several hospitals here in NY, which usually dont have the same number of seats in PGY2 as in PGY1...so could this just be a case of having a restricted # of seats for 2nd yr leading to this individual moving to another place, or maybe it being a university program could have had something to do with it???
