The total amount of loan money allowed is based on what StChris will certify. The upper limited per year for StChris students is around $45,000.00. However, as Superman000 pointed out, and according to KeyBank, one can apply for more money as needed within what StChris approves, and the disbursements are normally September and December of a given year. Again, however, StChris Student Finance Unit's practice is to disburse the total amount at the beginning of "your" school year.
