If you want to save a few bucks, you'd be wise to buy your books used from upper semester students. You won't have to carry them with you, or pay for shipping, and it'll be cheaper overall.

Cheers,

most books are cheaper, or on par with American prices, try the Luton University bookstore for prices, the school also has their own stand setup in the main office...to find used books, check the board in the atrium....

I have to respectfully disagree with this. After factoring in the exchange rate, the books in the UK used to be much more expensive. Unless there has been a change, I suggest ordering online and having them deliver the books to St. Chris directly (which they do at the online bookstore).

You can also buy them from students, but not all students sell their books. THere is a chance that you will end up having to buy from the bookstore in order to have access to a book quickly if no one will sell you theirs.

bookstore options

Your bookstore options are:

1. Purchase a used book. Students sometime sell their books between semesters. Availability is limited and not guaranteed.

2. Purchase online via the school's website. Prices are reasonable compared to U.K. prices and students can purchase used books too.

3. Univ of Luton bookstore. Most books are available but things are expensive now in the U.K. The current exchange rate is approximatley 1.9:1. If money is not a problem, this a good choice for those of you who need a book in an emergency.

4. Other U.K. bookstores in London and Cambridge. See the school's website for addresses.

They are listed at the bottom of the page.

I'm quite sure such questions have already been answered in other threads. My sincere apologies if that's the case.

Thanks,

Zubair,
Address the package to York House (address on Website) and just have them write "ATTN: YOUR NAME" on it.

Cheers,
