i actually agree with you on a few points... yes the school had and has some troubles... but they are working on them... this doesn't mean come rushing to the program now.. but it means that in the near future it may be safer to attend... I also agree that people should go to a school that suits their needs now... if you want to work in cali... go to a school that is good NOW in cali not a school that "promises" cali approval "soon".... if you want to practice in states that allows SCIMD to be licensed in NOW... then it may be an option....

since you hate the school so much... please don't come... i'm sure the school will be just fine even if you don't attend...

again thank you for your valuable opinions..

Pardon me, but the exceptions do not make the rule.

The fact is, this school is in shambles, and has never, ever demonstrated to anyone that it should be qualified to train MDs. In fact, the opposite has occured. Everyone that looks closely at the school has run away from it.

My point is that we should not recognize schools such as this one. I do feel the students deserve the money back. I think every single administrator affiliated with this school should be fined or in prison. And, I think that every student that had anything to do with this school should be forced to start over.

I have worked with SC students, and have always been very, very underwhelmed. So, for every student/grad that memorzied Kaplan and happened to do well on the USMLE, there are a lot more that shouldn't have been anywhere near med school.

Sorry you guys made such a poor choice. It was a bad gamble, and things did not work out. I will do my part to be sure that the degree is not recognized in the states simply because nobody has ever demonstrated that the school should be teaching medicine. I would never, ever want a family member or freind treated by anyone that went to a school with 1/5 the problems SC has.

Think of it this way...the main man that all of you currently vilify, PL, was in charge of your education! Why on earth should any of us trust that education? This is a man who lied to students about his own credentials! And, even through all of this, while all of you admit he cheated you and admit all the lies that he convinced you of....you somehow stil think that the education that he designed and provided you with should be assumed adequate? I think not....

The good news about my opinion....it is based on facts, personal experience and a legitimate knowledge of the medical education process.

And your opinion: based on what you read on this forum, and apparently based on some fear of retaliation from SC, given your very abrupt about face.

Sorry if I don't share your sunny outlook. I have dealt with these people for years. I have worked with students and grads from all over the world. I have had classmates that transfered from SC. Based on this, I say the school should be shut until it can demonstrate adequacy, and given its history of inadequacey, any previous work at this "school" should be ignored.

And

AGAIN. Are you finished bashing this school yet? Go ahead write a book and get it all out of your system once and for all. Then, maybe we can go forward and stop spinning in circles. Let's leave the past where it belongs...behind us. Focus forward.

Focus forward? Ignore the past? Sage advice...

The difference between you and I appears to be that I demand those that wish to practice medicine on my freinds and family attend a school that can prove it actually teaches medicine. You, on the other had, don't care what kind of education a doctor may have...

These people were educated in the "old" St Chris! The past is affecting us now! And, there is no reason to think the future is improved. Unlike you, I do not buy the desperate pleas of these students as evidence of improvement.

Not bashing at all. Just reporting what the facts are, from the past and present. Please save your fairyland dreams about this school for a disney special, and realize that the NOW is what matters.

to bash or not to bash

The school is still open and it shows no signs of shutting down anytime soon. In fact, it's quite the opposite...they are going forward. They've managed to stay open for seven years now...moving towards the decade mark. I know that bugs you but it's reality. So, you have a choice to bash or not to bash. You can cont. to try to tear them down or you can ask questions and learn what it is that makes it possible for them to stay open. Why doesn't England shut them down? Why did the ECFMG accept them again? There are positives here that you know nothing about. Don't you wanna find out? I'm curious but they won't tell us until you and Az back off.
