Just got this
This email was forward to me from another student asking me to post it. I don't see the benefit but I did anyway.
"A student mentioned to me that the last semester at SCIMD ended in Nov. after their ICM & PD. A 10 week semester. Is that even legal? I thought students had to commit to a certain # of weeks of instruction?? Will they be able to get ECFMG certified? Or get licensed? If that is the case & they can not, perhaps S could post this on the forum. It is a very serious situation FS has placed them in & they probably don’t even know it. He let them go in NOV. They should be made aware. FS is TOTALLY screwing things up still!" Is this true are there any time requirements? when I attended SCCM semesters were 15 weeks long. Maybe they moved from semesters to quarters? |

yes there are time requirements.. and each state board has them... you're required to do x amount of weeks/months of school in order to qualify for licencure
Students were not let go in november because finals were the second week of decemeber... so unless the students that left in november didn't finish the semeseter or transfered or didn't write finals... they were there until the second week of december. The school calendar can be found here Academic Calendar for St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine |
