I found it. I used the same link as before (the one in AZ's first post). It seemed to be a slightly different page than it was a few minutes ago. It is certainly there, though.

To find it go here and put in 'christopher' as the provider:

DfES Register of providers

See the instructions listed on their locked visa thread here. You look them up on the DFES register the same way you have for years.

by the DEIS (Department of Ed)....what does this mean for SCIMD? My guess is that if you aren't on that list, you'll have trouble getting a student visa but I am not sure. Anyone know what is real?
You posted something totally innacurate and incorrect based on you inability to adequately search the information. But you had to jump the gun and ASSUME that "SCIMD (the new version of st chris) was removed from the list of registered education provider schools to study in the UK DfES Register of providers"

It can be interpreted in a very negative and derogatory manner, and chances are it is for those who do not bother to double check.

Furthermore you innacurately stated that your "guess is that if you aren't on that list, you'll have trouble getting a student visa" Thank the Allmighty is was just a guess, a very bad guess.

Many people take your advise ad verbatim, and those folks can be misled like this case has proven. I am yet to see any apologies from your mistake. Granted SC has gone through hell, turbulent times, and I am talking about the students. They are working hard to make it work, and you seem to be working hard to bury it. On what basis?

You know, I have learned that when I screw up, I ammend for my mistakes by apologizing and doing the correct thing, maybe your pride and ego are blinding you into not recognizing thet you also make mistakes, and that there is nothing wrong with an apology.

It's up to you, I believe you owe it to some folks after this DFES fiasco, but what you believe is ultimately what will motivate you to do the right thing or not.

Peace to all

Max

After the holiday we'll see what the Dept of Ed says. It is posted elsewhere that the school was removed and from the website I was accessing it appeared to be true. Not sure now. If I'm wrong I'll admit it. I have been accused of being wrong many times on this board and ultimatly was proven right by the govts actions and the results. Ask the students still fighting for their transcripts and money.

and why

didn't you just find out for sure that you are wrong before stirring up the controversy again. Odds are the other posting you read was started after you spread the rumor here. Just apologize and let's call it a day. There is nothing wrong with the St. Chris listing.

see

"I have just been informed by DfES that the entry has been removed. Guy (Help!) 14:57, 22 December 2006 (UTC) It still seems to be showing up for me, but maybe the database isn't updated yet. In any case, it should not be added due to the reasons mentioned by JzG and .178: it means absolutely nothing, and even the DfES states that it shouldn't be used for marketing (which would be its purpose on WP).
