Well you actually got an answer, even if different ones. On many important questions, you won't get an answer from the St. Chris admin. at all! Like they're trying to hide something......sweep the stuff under the rug.

cost.

the cost of living outside of London is around £6,000 a year plus books, materials etc. This is the value given by any UK med school to it's students. It will not cover any course fees etc.

Hope this is of help.

Isn't this response a little hostile for a simple question ?????????

The cost of living for a family of 4 (me) is ~ $150/week groceries, $900-1100 per month for a 3 bed house and $50-60 gas/transportation. Obviously a single student would be MUCH less. I would suggest that you get your own apartment with or without a roomate, It seems to be very expensive to go through the school and if you rent your own place (for the same price or less) you get to choose your living arrangements for yourself. Food prices are almost the same but with the poor $ conversion you are paying 75% more ( a loaf of bread costs about 75p, a burger and fries L4.50 ). Gas is 72-75p per liter, that works out to about $4-5 per gallon.

finance

I have pretty good credit and had no problem getting a MedAcheiver loan. That's the only one I tried. I have heard of others having the same problems as any other person in all the other colleges I have attended.
