like i said
thanks for the update.
like i said on another thread, i wouldn't count on stafford loans until it is officially annouced. until then, make alternative plans (TERI loan or whatever). dont rely on the possibility of the staffords being re-approved coz they might not be soon enough, if ever. if the staffords r a must for u, look into one of the big 3 (auc, sgu, ross) coz they r the only ones in the carib that i know of who offer staffords right now.
this is the same concept as going to a school with the hopes that they will be approved in california for example (the most difficult state) by the time u finish. even if a school got approved for cal by that time, it wouldnt guarentee that it would be retroactive to include u. not to mention that these types of things take a very long time.
if approval happens to go through, than it should be considered a bonus rather than expected. since spartan is not using it as a selling point, u shouldnt take it into consideration when deciding either.
so if u have ur heart set on cal or staffords, i think u should play it safe and attend a school that is already approved (only the big 3 -auc, ross, sgu - that i know of in the carib). but if practacing in one of the many other states or using an alternative loan program is acceptable to u and not as high of a priority as something else (lower tuition or whatever), than this might open up more options for u to choose from. it just depends on what u find important.
hope this helps.
peace
