beware of the trolls diguised as being "helpful"!!!

    Beware of the trolls

just wanted to warn everyone to be careful who they listen to around here. there was recently an ex-student who claimed to be here temporarily to chat about spartan with whoever is interested. he failed to mention that he transferred a while back out of 3rd tri on very unhappy terms (had problems with his loans) and would like to make spartan look bad in return.

i must admit that his recent posts have been much more balanced, but i'm still a bit skeptical. he said a long time ago that he wouldn't post here anymore, but he keeps coming back?? the really strange thing is that in all his time here, he has only written on the spartan forum (negative things of course) and not even once on his own school forum?? for someone with only one day to spend on this forum and wanted to "help" ppl, i would think that he would rather spend it on his own school forum trying to share useful info with others. but that fact that he always returns to bash spartan makes me realize his real intentions.

a few months back he was trying to tell ppl like kirst how they would terribly regret going to spartan and would realize it as soon as they got there. kirst and others got there and basically disputed everything he said and added that they were happy with their decision. so he said that they wont find out until next tri. a 2nd tri just made positive statements disputing his lies, so he conveniently says that they wont be apparent until 4-9 tris (he wasn’t even at spartan during this time!). always trying to make them doubt their decision.

but wait a second!! for all the trash he speaks about the clinicals, u would think he actually experienced it? nope, he transferred from 3rd tri, so he was never even at spartan for clinicals, yet he claims that its a terrible experience?? doesn't that raise some red flags?

like i've always said, i'm not trying to praise or bash any school. i try to be objective about all schools. but more importantly, i go around the differnent forums and point out the trolls who needlessly bash the schools (every forum has at least one). in my experience, the trolls dont even attend the schools they bash most of the time?? if u had a bad experience, say ur story and move on with ur new school. no need to dwell on ur hate and anger. if u honestly tell ur story and let other ppl come to their own conclusions than thats cool. but if u persistently troll that forum trying to bash the school over and over (like bumping ur own bashing post) with little or no proof and nothing but the worst intentions, u will find me popping up to warn ppl about u everytime u do.

with this specific person, i’ve already determined that he hatefully tells lies to try to make the school look bad. even though his stories appear more balanced on the surface (his public posts seem more balanced but he offers to send bashing private messages to u so that ppl like me wont expose him), i’ve already made it clear that anytime he shows his name on this forum i’ll be there to remind ppl about the things he’s done. i’ve been kind by not even mentioning his name or specifics of what he’s done in this post. but if he keeps trying to start trouble around here, than i’ll gladly point out his previous lies and expose him for the troll he is. the simple message to that troll is to leave this forum alone or deal with me each time u try to bash it.

i'm not here to dispute each statement the troll makes. i've done that in the past and proven that these ppl tell lies to fulfill their causes of making schools look bad for whatever personal revenge they feel they need. and this is not about this specific school. i'm just saying to be careful of who u take ur advice from. some want to make the schools look great, some want them to look terrible. some want to help ppl with the truth which is usually somewhere in between, and thats the person with the most credibility in my opinion. but especially dont listen to the ppl who had "friends" who told them bad things. if u didn't actually experience it yourself, than its hearsay and u should not speak about it like its a fact (like a student who transferred after a short time in basic sciences telling u about how bad of an experience clinicals r).

sorry for going on and on, but these trolls really bother me. i hope to prevent them from bothering all of u as well. best of luck to all (including the trolls).

    peace

    thanks dt

thanks dt. coming from u that means alot. btw, dt is one of the objective ppl that i was referring to. he has lots of knowledge of alot of different schools and will tell u both the good and bad he's learned about them. i wish everyone was like that.

about that specific user, i hope ur right. i guess ppl can change their ways. it just took me by surprise that he bumped his old bashing post of which some of the things were shown to be blatant lies. i still dont know why he did that, but i guess he deserves a chance to prove me wrong and give some balanced info to users. and if i'm wrong i'll admit that when i see the new trend myself. until then i'll read with a bit of skeptism whenever he posts on this forum.

    peace

    gents

it's not that i'm more mellow, i have already put the dirt out there. there's no need to force it down anyone's throat. it does amaze me how some people can't decifer between a helpful tip and trashing a school. i'm not here to trash, but i will report facts.

    the flip side

Funny enough now that you have put out your helpful hints, why not let people digust the info and come to their own desicion. Personally, i'm extremely happy to have been accepted into Spartan. I take it as an offense when someone trashes a school that i'm proud to be at. So when making some of the comments that you do....just keep in mind what may be "helpful hints" to some students sounds like you are bashing to those that are happy with the desicion that they have made to come to this school.

The best thing about Spartan is that you really need to know in depth the whole process of getting full licensure, starting from selection of medical school, clinicals, match, residency.

When posters come to this forum with their comments, that's helpful in gaining more knowledge about the process.

The more you know, the better to meet your goal.

    wwwwww

well i can't please all of the people all of the time. my helpful hints is always going to upset someone out there for whatever reason, look at the resistance i get. but that's life. all you can do is take it lightly and move on. to some of the readers: if a stranger can make a comment that upsets them that much, then god help em' (whichever one your affiliated with). this is not personal, and i'm not talking directly to anyone. if you read my hints and don't like it, then don't read my post. i won't be offended. by the way DT, you understand fully and you have a good sense of humor.
