Application concerns

Hello all,

I hope someone out there can offer some much needed advice. I am currently working on my spartan application. I have some MAJOR concerns. First, Is there such a thing as applying too early? My application should be in the mail before the end of september. However, I am applying for the fall (sep 04). My other concern centers around the recommendations. I have been in the work force for several years so contacting college professors has been difficult. I do however work very closely with MD's who are willing to write letters of recommendation for me. Will my application be impacted in a negative way, without letters of recommendation from science professors?

It is best to give them a call. Try the New Mexico office at 505-589-1372 and ask for Admissions. Calling is better than email I have found.

I had questions about LOR also and they were helpful.

The only concern about applying this early may be that you will need to submit your deposit now if accepted.

clinical researcher

Thanks for responding . I work in the field of clinical research but I am not an MD or PA. I have just been out of school for awhile and getting in touch with old professors would be difficult. I do however work very closesly with MD's and Ph.D's. So it would be much easier to get letters of recommendation from these people.

LOR

Lady Doc,

Yes, those letters from MDs and PhDs should suffice. I believe that even for people who don't have recommendations from people in the sciences will have few problems.

Is it to early to apply

Hello

Im just curious, say i want to attend Spartan in Fall of 04 then would it really be considered "too early" to send my application in now. Some poeple have stated that it is to early and that the admissions comm. is still working on the Jan class and others have stated that it is fine and will atleast secure us a seat in the fall class. So my real concern is if we do send in our application (possibly close to 1 year in advance) will it just be sitting there in the admissions office with a possibility of getting lost, or will it be looked upon and the applicant notified wether he or she is given a seat for the term indicated? i know its a silly question but i would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out on this.

thanks
