Because we rock!!!!!!!
Yeah dude, give me another hit.....
4th reason why spartan is better: We are not forced to do rotations in England/Ireland. 5th reason: We are only ones to have ClubMed (only 10 minutes from school) 6th reason: Only school to be walking distance from supermarket 7th reason ...., ...., ... ..., ..., ... 52,000th reason: We have least arrogant grads. 52,001st reason: Give me another hit dude, oh yeah, WE ARE THE COOLEST!!!!!! |

How many taxi drivers do you have? That is a better question...
rrod,
About 6 years ago or so, I visited a friend of mine who was studing at your school. He was in his 1st semester and they let me sit in on the classes. rrod, the students there were not talking so big, when I visited AUC. First, they had this prof., teaching anatomy and then I had to sit thru the same prof. when he was teaching embryology. rrod, I could not understand one single word that this guy was saying!!! He spoke chinese mixed with english.. He was a nice guy. I cannot remember his name but it was like a comedy act. I mean I could not understand one single word!!! Mind you, spartan teachers come from all over the place and they are nothing to brag about, but you are paying so much for it. Then, they had this biochem. teacher from hell, I mean from hell. She was knowledgable but she was ruthless. She scared the living lights out of me. One student told me that she is the Biochem Nazi!! Maybe these people do not exist at AUC anymore, but anyway, they were overcharging. That is what I think. In fact, all these so-called big three schools are over-charging. I am not so sure about some of the things you say rrod, when you say you have all 50 states!!! I always took your word for it but I am not so sure anymore. I gave your school a call, AUC and I told them that I am an AUC grad applying for residency and I want to know where I will not be able to be a resident and they told me, "Do NOT apply for Colorado." And I asked why and they said that we (AUC grads.) are not allowed to do residency in Colorado. You probably do not believe me. Call them, rrod and then report back. I am telling you the truth. Now rrod, you have only 63% of AUCs clinical rotations filled in the USA. But tell me, why are there so many unfilled spots in the USA? Are you trying to say that all these students from AUC, that are in England and Ireland are there because they do NOT want to do their rotations in the USA? And thus you have all these unfilled spots being wasted.. Hmm.. Something just doesn't add up... Spartan will never have as big a list as sgu/ross/auc, but how could they? They do not have over 200 or 340 students per semester. The question isn't how big your list is but rather how you use it, I mean... the quality of your list. From all the people that attended AUC/spartan/ross/sgu, how many of them made it and how many are taxi drivers? |

6 years are you for real?
six years ago spartan still had chickens running through its corridors...haha no that was auc twenty years ago. yes things have changed in SIX YEARS you are talking about Dr Luo just heard stories about him. the biochem nazi is Dr Trotz who is actually vey nice the only people who seem to have a probelm with her are the ones who fail since she is very by the book and gives no one any room for make ups or any special treatment. hilarious how you bring up things from six years ago but since we are i'l talk about when i first got here a year ago there was a third semester student who bought into these rumors that spartan had better clinicals and what not so he took a day trip there since he would spend a semester there before clinicals. he said every professor was indianm pakistani, and one cuban guy he said he didn't understand a single one of them and a few students complained of indian students getting special treatment he came back with some class notes and i just ahd to laugh because they were lousy mispelled improper english syntax etc.....since you wanna drag this out. auc is not the best definetly not even close but in terms of what is important it is ahead, ie licensure and support network or as you guys call it "massive PR machine".
called meio and funny how you twist words around they said all states have been ok so far the only thing they said was that colorado and texas were giving all foreign grads a hard time the last four months not just auc never said don't apply just said it would take longer, also confirmed that with the clinical staff who happen to be here for orientation. on another side bar a member of my fraternity is currently licensed in colorado so i know it is possible. hows the massive alumni list coming along? as for clinical spots they vary. two semesters ago there were 96 openings in US and the usual 60 in uk this time arond b/c of rotations there are only 64 in US and 40 in uk so they go up and down. as far as them being full we have been told they have never filled completely they may fill by regions and instead of your home town you may go three hours away and no one has ever been told to go to UK. auc just got approval for florida and we have been told core rotation contracs are signed for florida, a new one in chicago, another in new york, and louisiana so thanks for worrying about my clinical situation but as you can see it is quite healthy. keep on yapping but as any woman will tell you, size does matter. ok i am done and i never even claimed my nobel prize you guys are pathetic. keep on spewing about best hospitals and top residencies and you have friends at this and ivy league place, and that licensed grads are numerous bc they mean nothing since there is no proof. edit: i did find a family practice resident from spartan who teaches at st luke medical diploma mill

..
rrod,
I do not remember the names of the professors but I will take your word for it. They told me not to apply to Colorado. You, at least, admit that they are having trouble. So in other words, you shouldn't go showing off about your school, sgu or Ross about licensures because everyone is vulnerable. |

Question for rrod
Why did you put Saba on par with Spartan in your rank list of schools?
I am curious about this, because although Spartan grads seem sparse (hah, a pun there), Saba residents are easy to find.

The real list..
I don't think spartan has any successful grads.. I think that they are non-existant. They come in and then according to you guys, they disappear into thin air. Even Saba, which started sometime in the 1990's, has more grads and residents and licensed docs, than spartan.. Wow, amazing!!
Could it be, hmmm, let me think about it, PR?!!! Could it be that they (saba,ross,etc..) put money to follow their alumni? This is spartans deficiency but their strength goes beyond this forum. They might regain their staffords, Saba will never get it.. Saba has one road called the road. It is a rock. I've been there. I stayed one night, I couldn't wait to leave. Even with that said, I would probably pick it before the so-called big 3. Here is the real list: 1- Spartan (low tuition, good ratio, nice island, good USA clinicals) 2- Saba (medium tuition, fair ratio, island not too good, USA clinicals) 3- Other schools in carib., that need to be researched 4- AUC (higher tution, poor ratio, decent island but not ideal for studing) 5- Ross (high tuition, extremly poor ratio, horrible island) 6- sgu (ridiculously horrible tuition, horrible ratio, horrible island) 7- mexico (at least, you can learn spanish) 8- western europe (I don't know why anybody would go there, I guess you can learn russian?) |
