Spartan is 9 trimesters meaning that you have to pay for 3 years of schooling. Does that mean you will finish your degree in 3 years?
Ha. Ha. Ha. Yeah right. Seriously, if you follow the recommended time-line then you should finish in 4 years: 16mos continuous in St. Lucia then 4mos leave-of-absence to prepare and take your USMLE Step I [and wait for results] then you start clinicals which is 80weeks+/- a couple weeks due to variability in the length of electives during which time you have to take a mandatory X number of weeks off. [I think it is a minimum 7 or 8 weeks, I'm not quite sure] Several people have recommended use of that time to study and prepare for Step II. Anyways, when you do the math your time spent with Spartan is pretty much a minimum of 4 years.

Don't get me wrong, you "could" finish your 4 trimesters on the island and start clinicals right away and finish up in roughly 3.5 years IF you don't write any licensing tests and never actually practice medicine legally anywhere - otherwise you are stuck at some point to take time off and if nothing else be waiting for your test results before booking your clinicals

If you are really interested in a bona fide 3 year accelerated MD degree there are a couple schools in Canada that offer this.
