I am going in September as well, I am looking forward to meeting everyone there. I have already bought all the books and began to read them, hopefully we can form study groups.

When is everyone arriving? Classes start first week of September, but I imagine that most people will arrive by the end of August.

Has anyone found out the price of apartments for the term?

Thanks

Hello Sebastian85

My name is Chun-Ta. my flight ticket is on August 28th. where did you buy your books, ebay or amazon? Don't study too hard this summer.

Some people said that you should be able to find a place to live on the first day and someone who works for the school will come to the Airport to pick you up and show you these housings. I will call them tomorrow to ask about health insurance and bank things. Also, I will double check whether someone is coming to the airport to pick me up or not.

pop quiz: Which part of body is where Tibia is? Hint: it is one name of bones.

What is wrong with making.....

I really don't understand why people take their precious time to criticize people, schools etc for no unjust reasons. If a potential student has in his heart to make a difference in changing Spartan, should we not support the person in their dream, instead of bad-mouthing unnecessarily?

Yes, Spartan has faced problems in the past, and yes all must be done to have them shape or get out of the game, however, shouldn't we be doing something positively constructive to help the school's image? instead we are casting stores on them? We forget that this school sometime in the past have indeed produced some wonderful doctors.

After all, I know that the gentleman that made the negative comments must be someone also wanting to be a medical doctor or if he/she is not already one. This attitude is not something one should expect from a MD. I see a MD as a high calling with the highest dignified caliber. We must desist from condemning and name calling if we really think we are medical doctors.

After over 20 yrs practice in the USA,I can only tell you that when you are in the basic sciences in the carribean crowd and schools ,you will see and hear "my school is better"etc because some schools charge unrealistic tuitions and such crowd needs to justify paying such money, however in my personal experiences and opnion and except for states with disapproved firm laws schools lists [only CA fits such crtieria, yet its too old rules, too unaccepted by most states and based on recent CNN media CA hospitals themselves urgently need site visits due to too many substandard care!!]
after you start training and practice no one care or even know the differenace between carribean schools,if you look at NY,FL,NJ for example ,such states with lists and you will find unapproved schools grads are holding top, best, hard to get positions in those states, now the carribean schools issues is not as sensational as before because no articles or a well planned attacks is active, the worst attacks in 03 done and forced states and FSMB to look at the issue, the end results are more schools opened, none closed, and the FSMB said :we are already doing great job thank you"...
If I recieve a CV from Spartan,Royal college grad in Irland,or AUC grad,I simply will take the most qualified and I know such grad is good since he/she pass all steps....most alleged experts here never been thru all the needed steps and if you are good, you will make it ,if you can't make it to CA then it might be better so you can retire with some cash and not being the pumping money for your tiny house, and creditors with little if any saved$$!!!!!!!I just hired an associate US grad from LA and he was shocked to buy a house on the water with a boat slip for $680.000!!!!and for over one year he saved lots of money and upgraded his standard of living.

good luck/personal opinion.
