TX - no, unless you hire a lawyer, and pay out tens of thousands of dollars (but it has been done from spartan)
NY - yes, but don't do more than 12 weeks of rotations in NY if you're from spartan, or you cannot get a permanent license.
NJ - drown you in paperwork, but perhaps.
NV - recently started using the california list, but perhaps more as a guide as opposed to TN, who started using it to deny licensure. so who knows?

texas doesnt have a "approved" list. they simply have a list that exempts graduates from certain schools from having to turn in more paperwork.

in the texas case, if i remember right, the guy had residency, plus fellowship, all board certified, practicing in another state, but proved with a lawyer that he was qualified to practice medicine in texas. getting a license in texas is possible, just don't expect it to be a walk in the park.

i do not doubt that spartan has grads in almost every state. but one thing to keep in mind is that getting a permanent license now is more difficult than it was 10-15 years ago. now carib schools are being scrutinized more, and licensing boards are coming up with more reasons to deny licensure (a lot of them not justified). like the example of basing your licensing decision on a bad publicity newspaper article. was all the information correct in that article? probably not. was it biased? probably yes. why a medical board would jump to conclusions based on something so subjective is beyond me, but it happened.
