States Spartan can Practice

Does anyone know which states Spartan Grads can practice in?
Also, I have noticed that Spartan students can do clerkships/residency in certain states but cannot gain licensure in those states and vice versa( can gain licence in certain states but cannot do residency/clerkship in them).

Is there anyone we should contact to further access these issues?

Anyone who has answers or comments on these topics, please feel free to share posts.

I can share personal internet search I did on licensures of carribean grads including Spartan, please note that is my personal web info and you must contact your desired state for current rules.

Spartan does have fully licensed grads in all US states except the state of California and I could not find anyone in Colorado ,VT, MN [I called MN and they said its ok for license but no one has applied], but all others including Wyoming,Hawaii...are included. Also they do have licensed grads in Europe,Africa,Middle East,Asia, but I could not find anyone licensed in Australia or Canada[may be there are few but did not show up on the internet].
Starting from NY:they have huge number of residents and attendings including current faculty at Cornell and Columbia college of physicians and surgeons.NJ also has same,DC has many,Boston also has many including recent Harvard trained that relocated to AZ to practice Anesth,as well as high position faculty with Boston Univ,Florida has large number of residents and attendings including the founder of the largest cardiology group in Miami as well as Harvard trained Radiologist and a director dept of health in the everglades.Alabama,Arkansas,CT[faculty Uni CT],Delware,GA[Large #],Hawii,Idaho,Illinois[large #],Iowa,Kansas,KY,LA,MD,MA,MI[large #],MS,MO,NE,NV,NJ,NM,NC,OH,OK,OR,PA,RI,SC,TN[Large #],Texas[one just started last Fall among older others],UTAH,VA,WA,WV all that I could verify from the hospitals physicians lists on the web.
Also on the internet Spartan has the 2005-2008 catalogue and they have a ariel photo of the campus which to me look like it consists of 7 buildings surrounded by a gate and 16 FT basic sciences faculty and they seem to have made huge improvements in their future and according to info one faculty is government official to oversee the standards is comparable to LCME,[the Dept of Educ had its meeting March 28 about St Lucia comparability accreditation and results will be available in 4-6 weeks].
Regarding states that allow residency but not license,I can only verify one incident where an applicant did cardiology residency in Indiana under resident license but denied full license and he complained to the AMA,the AMA international section chair on records made statment urging states not to have its own lists because that might discriminate against highly qualified physicians and taht physician is currently pioneer in his speciality in another warmer state.

Just sharing my research and personal opinion[please check with current rules and regulations of easch states because the web can have old info].

To me this school probably better than all other newer schools[of course SGU,ROSS,AUC,SABA are the best in the carribean and should be first choice always] but they[spartan] always being unfairly targeted and attacked,to me when I look at a school I want good facilities, good clinicals and most importantly successful grads everyehere and I see good campus based on the recent catalogue photos, same hospitals sites used by most carribeans, and exceptional grads all over!!!!at least its better than the majority of most third world countries med schools and better than all newer schools!!!!
fair is fair

just my personal opinion shared to help answer your questions from practicing physician point view.
good luck.........

Thank you ASIANDOC for this valuabe information, as for me i am from new york and have called the state regarding licensing and was told that it is fine, based on this information and the cost of this school relative to the rest of them i am sending my deposit today and will be attending in may.
I have done enough research about the school to see that it is a good school, but you really have to work hard on your own in order to succeed.
wish you luck to all of you.

Just a little thing about Hawaii, they are tough to license in. Although their laws will allow IMGs, they don't like to license physicians who are not originally from Hawaii

that's good news then. i have a cousin-in-law who graduated from AUC and had a lot of trouble getting licensed there. he eventually did but as I said before, they originally gave him trouble because he wasn't originally from Hawaii.

I asked few officials in regard to state policy that consider mainly residents of state for licensures and told that can't be true because not only considered discrimination but in order to get federal assistance and funds ,a state must have equal opportunity regardless of national origin. Also I believe above licensed
grad is Asian[I think Indian med school grad from what I remember reading but do not quote me on that because I am not sure].
