Cadavers
Yeah, I suppose D&J thought the cadavers were from, say, oh, maybe St. Lucia, because we all know St. Lucian human anatomy is fundamentally different than American Human Anatomy. Or maybe they thought the cadavers were chinese, or maybe Mexican. Oh, couldn't use Mexican cadavers! Don't they have two hearts and three stomachs or something like that?
Oh, and as for pertinent anatomy, well, we don't really need to worry about the uterus, as only half our patients have those. Forget about knees, knees never go wrong! While we're at it, let's just poke around and see what we think is interesting and "pertinent". The writers don't care about WHERE THE BODIES ARE FROM! They were drawing attention to the NUMBER of cadavers! Three cadavers for a class of 30-40 is ridiculous! On top of that, the same cadavers were used for 4-5 trimesters in a row! When I was there, we had one cadaver for the entire class! My American peers tell me they usually had 4-5 students at the most per FRESH cadaver! |

I agree dt...
I agree with the opinion stated here previously in another post that this "rebuttal" is written in much the same way as the "D&J" articles. It does nothing to refute what was said in the Courant; it merely drones on and on proving and saying absolutely zilch. I would like to hear a veritable reply from a Spartan OFFICIAL and not a student who takes it upon her/himself to act as an administrator (and not efficiently).

YAHOOO-OO!!
Professor:
I did "a simple yahoo search" and found nothing but references to the Courant article, the "official Spartan school website", some old Spartan critiques (a la AAIMG) and some articles about other Caribbean schools. I did NOT find any references to specific Spartan graduates holding the positions that you purport in your post. Please let me know exactly how your search yielded substantially different results from mine. Mindprobe |
