Piedmont Hospital
Atlanta, GA

If Surgery & OB/GYN are offered here, they would be ACGME approved.

Dekalb Medical Center
Augusta, GA

Peds if offered here would be ACGME approved.

The Emory Clinic at Emory Crawford Long Hospital
Atlanta, Georgia

If IM, FM, Surg, are offered here they will be considered ACGME approved.

Ohio Northside Medical Center
Youngstown, Ohio

FM, IM, Peds, Surg if offered here would be ACGME approved.

Michael Reese
Chicago, IL

See Michael Reese thread…

East Central Regional Hospital
Augusta, GA

Psych if offered here is ACGME approved.

NOTE: These are sites that AUA is posting on their website indicating that students there can rotate at these sites through the GMC. Since SMU is also affiliated with the GMC, the following sites may be also available to SMU students. I checked the ACGME website and the above sites have an ACGME approved residency in the rotation listed (under each site). I guess the people at the clinical dept would be able to shed more light on the subject.

Does SMU have these sites too? Maybe SMU should update their clinical sites list if they have them also.

5th semester in Cayman is going to have a meeting with the clinical dean next friday. It will be good to ask him about the GMC group and the possibility to have all those rotations for SMU students and also find out if those places are considered green for sure.
It will be great to do all the rotations in GA

becareful with GMC, a lot of students here are having trouble. one student was orginally in family med, on his first day he was told that his rotation was changed to IM. i wish i did my rotation somewhere else. try to avoid GMC. good luck.
