the hospital there has housing for students, or they can even lend you an idea of where to look. If you go to the FREIDA site, and look up the hospital, there's an email for the coordinator there. Email him and he can help you out!
510 points So I was assigned to Niagara Memorial for Feb. So the coordinator scheduled for 10 weeks --> 4 weeks family medicine core, 6 weeks electives. The RAF states that it will be $300/ week. Now that is very confusing as I recall somewhere and VMD saying that cores done at hospitals affiliated with the school is free. Even so, we have a paper that specifically tells us if we do not write on the application how much the elective cost per week we would be automatically billed $250.
Well I am happy I got a core in family medicine but now stuck with what is a green elective at this hospital. I have a choice to do a sub-I in family medicine which I think is automatically considered green, but I want to maybe radiology or pathology how can I find out that these are green electives?
I was also wondering if anyone rotating through this core, how was it, what are the hours, and is it a demanding program as far as call is concerned?
510 points Has anyone done this rotation? IF soo, can u guys tell us if its a good rotation?
