Thread: Psych Rotation

Just wondering what is expected of us during our psych rotation? How many hours are we putting in? Do we have time to study?

As rynobuddy stated, it's about where you're doing it. I did mine at Mt. Sinai Chicago, and we were there 9hrs a day, 5 days a week, and had to do a few presentations--not too bad.

I have nothing more to add because I did it at Sinai in Chicago as well. Although I dont remember being there 9 hrs. Preceptor if it is still the same, is very into teaching. Residents were mostly IMGs. Rotation also included UIC and Chicago Univ students as well. Time spent 2 wks in inpatient ward, 2wks consult service, and 2wks outpatient.
