Amerijet flight schedule

I am trying to ship my dog jan 7th, 8th, or 9th to the island via amerijet. He is too large to put on the airline's plane with me. I have not been able to make the reservation due too them not having the flight schedule for jan. yet! Come on it is dec 1st. I have been in touch with them for over 1 month and they keep putting me off. I don't feel like I can even trust them with my animal (should they get their act together). Do I have any other option for getting my dog to the island?

I hope you're not calling Amerijet in Grenada. Not only are they incompetent but they will outright lie to you about the drop-off time so they don't have to deal with your dog. Happened to me last week - #^&(%@#&%*'s! I had to get my dog on a Liat flight through Antigua and buy a new American ticket from San Juan just to get him back for the holidays. Cost: about $650 USD. Feeling a lot of anger towards the GND guys right about now.
But I digress - call the office in Miami at - I believe it's 1-800-Amerijet - but check listings if that doesn't work. Ask what day they are flying to and from GND - and get your dog to the warehouse (past the airport, past Aquarium) before 8am just to be safe, regardless of what they tell you. You will need to make an appointment with the GND end, but just ignore whatever dropoff time they tell you and get there much earlier.
I was going to tip them, myself, but after their behavior I'd say save your tips for the Miami crew. They are polite and hardworking, and earn them.
Good luck with your dog!

Ah, my bad. Just re-read and realized you're shipping your dog TO Grenada.
In that case, look online at Amerijet.com - the schedules are posted clearly for all to see. You will have to drop off your dog the night before, usually between 7-9pm but they will tell you more specifically. Call the 800 number and speak to the Live Animal Coordinator, who is very helpful. Those guys are good in Miami, my puppy has traveled with them 3 times and it's always gone beautifully. Good luck!

So you have to drop them off the night before? Is there any way around that? He is huge and hates being caged up. Well, he hates being without me that is. As far the people in Miami, I spoke to the live animal coordinator and she said that they don't have the schedule (this was on dec 31th) for jan! I am really annoyed with her cause she keeps putting me off, time and time again and I still haven't made my flight arrangements. Can I fly him on american and then liat? Will they take such a large animal?
