In other words, I have never gotten any indication that the immigration officer needed proof of a return ticket, or cared. Are you planning on staying over the break? Afterthought: Still, there is a form letter or 2 that bayshore will send you to help get through immigration...you will need this whether you have a return ticket or not. |

Still, I really don't think it's a problem. |

I spoke with a person in the immigration office. I don't know if this person was an official 'immigration officer' or not but he stated that it shouldn't be necessary as a student to have a return ticket. Your passport, however, will not be stamped for longer than 3 - 4 months at the airport (from my experience). If you need to extend this you can go to the immigration office. I have gotten a year extension with little effort.
I generally stay here year-round but when I have left I have flown through San Juan, Barbados, Antiqua, and Dominica with one-way tickets and never even got a second look. For Antigua and Dominica, however, I was on vacation/holiday. The airlines may be the party responsible for this...I don't know. I hope this helps a little and either way...see you in a few weeks. |
