SIGN UP AND POST, VET STUDENTS!
This forum (valueMD as whole) is MUCH easier to use, organized, and accessable than the yahoo group that all the future vet students and current vet students utilize for their admissions queries.

Any ways you people think we could help get the word out about this forum? We could start with posting about this forum on the yahoo group, which is probably the WORST esthetic and functional format to exchange information.

Now, if only we could ban all vet students that wear those unprofessional looking animal print scrub tops...

When was the last time you saw an MD wearing a freakin' cream colored animal print scrub top with matching cream colored bottoms? Sorry, just thinking with my fingers...
The ENT did when I had severe pharyngitis and was in the hospital over break. It was surreal, me going to the ER from work, dressed in my black on black LAS scrubs with the tasteful SGU LAS logo on the top, then the ENT bursts in in these wild zebra/jungle print stuff lol.

And Jeffrey-I saw the list, there were tons of people signed up. Until they told us how much it was going to cost-the reason people "found other accommodations" was because the "help" from the school was less than helpful-we were forced to find other ways home. It'd have been nice if the school had chartered us a plane-but the cost to the students was astronomical.

There are 325 members on the yahoo sgu vet forum, including several recent grads (myself included). People post regularly. Maybe SGU recommends it in an attempt to get everyone posting in one place...

[quote=sisyphus;549343] SGU seems to recommend the forum on Yahoo for some reason. Either way, only a handful of vet students post on either forum.

Firstly, congrats on graduating...if you are who I think you are, me and many of my classmates use your notes from SGU post, thanks for that.

If there are 325 members on Yahoo, why do so few current students/alum (maybe 5 or so, maybe) post there? I realize that there are pretty much only 3 of us on valuemd (orthonut, doc4pets, myself) who are actually current students in Grenada.

I would argue the more resources/sources of information the better. I have little interest in where SGU wants students to get information and a google search for "sgu forum" comes up with no links to the yahoo forum on the first page and the first result as valuemd. A potential student who hasn't been led to either site will likely post here first, I imagine.

I wonder if some of it doesn't have something to do with a certain post on the valuemd vet forum awhile back which SGU admin probably didn't like too much. I don't know that I liked it that much either though...
