Does any one know how St. ******* Hospital is when it comes to doing Surgery core?
Do they provide living accomodations for 3 months, subsidized or not?
If they do, are accomodations any good?
Any recommendations will be appreciated.
Thanks

Well i know of only one hospital system in Trenton, NJ where the school does rotations, so that shouldn't be hard to figure out. (I think the name filter caught it. Had it been edited by a mod, there would be a note.) Lets just call it a "Barn-and-a-Bus". I don't believe there is housing there. If i remember correctly, Monmouth, Spring Grove, Miami, westchester, and Danbury are the only ones that have housing affiliated with them. Once again this information is hard to find but is important to those of us who aren't at a clinical center and need to find a place to crash for 6-12 weeks to complete our cores.

The hospital in Trenton is St. ******* Medical Center. Lots of students from SGU have rotated there (including myself) and a number have been residents there as well in both Medicine and Surgery.
No, they don't offer housing, unfortunately. The surgery core itself isn't bad (although I did it about 8 yrs ago). There should be rentable places though for the duration.

49 points Is it possible to do rotations at umdnj?
Not any cores, but you can do up to 12 weeks of unaffiliated electives at any hospital which has a residency program in the area you're doing. But check state licensing rules regarding this, as it may prevent you from getting licensed (pennsylvania maybe?).Originally Posted by nrai2001
