SABA MUA ferry??

just a quick question. I've looked at the map and it looks like SABA and MUA are pretty close. If I get into SABA and my husband gets into MUA, is it possible to communite in a regular basis (ferry etc)
Much appriciated

No Ferry

There was no ferry as of Dec. 2004 when I left the island. To my knowledge, there still isnt. But I know that WinAir flies from Saba to St. Martin, and then to Nevis, so you can definitely fly there. I think though that you two should try getting in the same school, it will be much easier and cheaper for you. The school will try to arrange that also! Anyways, have fun

Val

Nope...there is no ferry from Saba to Nevis...

There is a small party type of boat that goes from St. Kitts to St. Maarten (only in December for the holidays so people can shop in St. Maarten)

The water is pretty rough...I think that's why they don't have more ferries.

But most airlines fly through St. Kitts and St. Maarten. From St. Maarten you can take Winair to Saba...you can take larger planes from St. Maarten to St. Kitts and then a ferry from St. Kitts to Nevis (most of the time much cheaper this way versus taking a flight straight to Nevis).

Good luck!
