Just got declined from SABA, but got into St. Martinus University, MUA, and Spartan Health Sciences (definately not going there). My stats are: 2.75 cumm from UNC-Chapel Hill, 3 1/2 years as NA in an emergency dept. at a level 1 trauma center, excellent letters of reference, and I have taken occasional classes here and there since '04 with decent grades as well. I'm going to St. Martinus even if I get into AUA.

This is my first post (and hopefully will continue after I get into SABA yayyy!)
My cGPA is 2.7 with an upward trend since first year (I got 1.7 in first year, got 3.3 in 3rd yr, getting 3.4 in senior year) fron University of Toronto. I have worked as research assistant (in 2 labs - Genetics and Psychology). I have excellent reference letters. I have worked at the Hyperbaric Medicine unit as volunteer for a year. I am planning to stay for another year, take a 2nd year physics and take more senior courses to birng up my gpa. Let's assume my gpa stays around 2.7, and I do well on MCAT this summer (planning to take MCAT for the first time in August), what are my chances to get into Saba? do I have to get 30+ on MCAT to be competitive for admission at Saba? or 26-7 will do? For some reason I am very engaged to Saba. I think it has something to do with the friendly attitude of people currently attending Saba on this forum. Thank you for your time, Cheers PS: forgot to say that I have pretty good extracirricular activities... I have been on the exce teams of various biological clubs etc, and am currently the president of one of them. |

It's hard to say unless you score high on your MCAT. I submitted my application last year and basically they told me to take the MCAT. My science GPA 3.4 and undergrad is 3.3. I have 4 yrs of clinical experiences as an RCP. My application is currently on hold for the past six months.
Good Luck :] |

Did they tell you what specific score you have to get? also they ask for the mcat if you have not been in school for 5 years. and if you took science courses in community college. if you did any of those thats why they would ask i assume. otherwise your gpa stats are pretty good. |
