I dont think you need to retake Gen chem 2 again. As long as you dont get more than 2 Cs, I think you should be fine. Also, pls make sure you are maintaining a good gpa(near 3.5) and doing your internships/experiences.

I hope it helps.

I meant some job shadowing in a hospital or some experience in a clinic. As far as your gpa is concerned, I think you need to bring in up.

HI, I just applied to SABA on 3/1. I have a 2.3 undergrad gpa in psychobiology and a 3.56 post-bacc gpa (4 repeated courses, 5 new courses), a 24 on the MCAT (twice) and 5.5 years clinical research experience in hematology/oncology. I am borderline with my gpa so I am really hoping that my working experience and LOR's help put me pver the edge. Any advice?

Hi, I'm a 3rd yr undergrad in a B.S/MD program but I don't think I will be for long - my science GPA is too low for my contract (have a 3.0). I don't want to do the fourth year of college because I have to pay for myself and I think I could get into a Caribbean school for Sept. 08 (though I'd like to wait til Jan 09 to make some money until then - unrealistic??), but I would really appreciate it if someone can tell me whether I'm imagining this or not!
106 credit hours
GPA 3.33
MCAT 25P - I'm taking it again in April because the first time I just didn't take it seriously enough (since the B.s/md only requires a 27)
I did all prereqs plus calc, physiology, genetics, and I'm in micro and biochem now, and met the required humanities things.
I've volunteered in a hospital for 4 years, did a summer of clinical research there, was an active EMT for 2 years, and I have 2 science LOR, with 2 more in the process, 1 humanities LOR and a nice one from the head of the clinical research that I did.
The big thing here is: will the fact that I'll just have finished junior year without a B.S. at the time I apply hurt me? And I've been low on volunteering in the past academic year because of trying to bring up that sciGPA... also it should be higher at the end of this semester, based on how it's going so far (and the 3 b.s. classes on the side)!
Thanks a lot!
