Additionally, I also have two years work experience in Kaiser Permanente pharmacy as a pharm tech. Please give me feedback about my chances of getting into SABA/SGU/AUC/or ROSS within the next cycle.
I have the same gpa stats, let me know if you hear anything?

I agree, have to apply to find out if your appliciation will be accepted.

however, I disagree that "almost no one is rejected". Just call the admin office and ask them how many people they interview or receive applications from and compare that to the number of people that get accepted (there is a substantial different).

my perception years ago about a caribbean medical school was that you need a pulse and money to get in. I've learned that is not the case at all; school like Saba and a few others are becoming in demand and are quite competive to get in.

Competitiveness is a relative thing.

You would 100% get in if you have a 3.3 or .2 but in Canada ( and I assume the same for the great majority of American schools ), you would get an *immediate* rejection letter.

Though I fully agree with Don1 in that it is becoming more accepted and a viable option, it is only competitive amongst low GPA 2.8-3.3 students.

I believe it is still a "pulse + money" case, though money is less of an issue seeing that it's a bit below the avg american 60 thousand/yr.

But hey, it's doesn't prevent people from pursuing their dream and getting the MD and assist people with their health/quality of life.

We must be realistic and understand that these schools are NOT competitive in North American standard but still be idealistic in that we can do it.

I graduated from a reputable state university with a B.A. in Chemistry and Psychology Double Major. My GPA is around a 3.2 with a 2.7 science GPA I was initially pre-dental so I took the DAT (Dental Admission Test) and got a 16 which is basically the US National Average. I will be taking it again soon. Do you all think SABA would request an MCAT or will you think my DAT will suffice. What do you think are my chances of getting in?

Guys , do I have a chance with no MCAT, and 3.43 GPA in premed, and over 1000 hours of volunteering in a 3rd world hospital?

Thanks and regards.

Don't believe that they admit everyone. I have a BSN with a 3.2 GPA and science GPA ~ 3.0. I was told that the admission committee is concerned about a 'C' a got in nutrition and micro 11 years ago while studying taking 16 cr/hrs, working fulltime, and being a single father. Go figure.
