I just got accepted to Saba for the January 09' class. My cumulative GPA was 3.1, and my science was 2.8. My MCAT was 19O.
So, pretty much, everyone has a fair chance at getting in. My academics were terrible, but I had a lot of other things to back it up: Volunteering, I was in collegiate athletics, and I currently work at the Mayo Clinic. So, I hope that gives a little bit more confidence in their application!! |

Study for the MCATs, take them, and apply to a US school. With even half-decent MCAT scores (say 28) you'd certainly get a DO school slot, and very possibly an allopathic school.

All of my advisors have told me that i don't really have much of a chance since my grades dropped from the junior college to the university and I made a C in organic I and I just dropped organic II cause I was doing really bad.
So I guess what makes me think that I don't have a shot is that Im not really going to great schools and I have had some trouble. I won't be taking organic II until next spring so I guess I'll be applying with out it. sorry for the rant guys |

Well, those advisors aren't physicians, are they? Typically, they're people who couldn't get into med school themselves and are bitter.
You will have to complete Ochem II for Saba. Just do it, and do as well as you can. However, if you get decent MCAT scores, apply to US MD and DO schools - all you have to lose is a few bucks.
