Drinking Water On Saba

I was just wondering how most people use water on Saba. Do they drink bottled water, or from the tap. Also, if drinking tap water, is it a good idea to bring a Brita Filter? Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thank You

water problem?

Most of us buy drinking water. Very few are crazy enough to boil it and drink it. Brita filter is a good idea if you can trust boiling rain water...Yes, the water off the tap are RAIN WATER!

Yes, there are always people drinking off the tap and not wanting to spend money on drinking water, which only amount to about $10 extra for a week and half. But you must ask urself what ur comfortable with. I know there are people drinking off the tap and got diahhea.

I buy bottled water and have a britta filter - but I also drink the tap water...The bottled water is more convenient, and I brought the britta with me so I'm gonna use the damned thing.

But, tap water is fine. So it's rainwater? So what. Do those who are neurotic about it also brush their teeth and wash their utensils in purified water?

The water is fine

Cool Filter, drink, live long

Once again for me, ditto castro. Tap water through a Brita has worked just fine for me these umpteen months. People can do a lot worse than drinking filtered rain water.

Yes rdecastro, there are "neurotics" on Saba actually use drinking water they buy to brush their teeth and everything else, although I am not one of them. The point is, everyone tolerates at different levels. No one can make that decision for u but urself.

Just remember when you get into really bad water (Amazonia!) you must boil, treat with iodine or some other chemical, biologically filter, and any other treatment you can think of, everything you put in your body, including on a toothbrush or in the ice in your coke! Wash your fruit with chlorine water, etc. The rest are just nicities.

Don't know about SABA, just some people may be squeamish about drinking water with guppies swimming in it.
