Hey all,
Just started up this past September and I have nothing but great things to say about Saba School of Medicine. Just a few months ago I was looking through numerous med schools in the Caribbean and had received acceptance to the big four. I decided to go with Saba cause of its cost, small class size, the island being small/quite/no distractions, and clinical rotations all done in the US. Now that I am attending Saba I am very happy with my choice. I am living in Hillside dorms, which is the new dorm and it is very nice, any type of food you want in the states you can get in Saba, maybe a bit more expensive. If you are a chocolate lover like myself, I would recommend bring some along since they are expensive on the island. People on the island are very friendly and the students are amazing coming from all parts of the US and Canada. I must go now since Saba is very academically challenging and we have an exam on Friday, the professors are also excellent. One thing I wanted to see, before coming to Saba were more personal picks of the island. So here are some pics from our first weekend on Saba. We went on a couple hiking trip and a tour of the island. Enjoy share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8AcNmzdizbNWPH |

I agree
Saba is a great school. It has exceeded all my expectations. I too was accepted by Ross and AUC ( I did not bother to apply to SGU), but chose Saba. I am glad that I made that choice.
I just started in the September semester. I am staying at the Hill side dorm. The dorm and campus facilities and the faculty are excellent. The island is beautiful, clean and people are friendly. I understand that the island is very safe with hardly any crimes. The student body is very supportive and helpful to the new students. Let me wish you all the best to the new students, my fellow classmates. dd |

Thanks Mo
Mo,
Your pictures were great. So nice to see that Saba is still the beautiful unique place it has always been. Thank you for sharing them with us. For those of us who fondly remember the island, it is a great pleasure to see our home-away-from-home through the eyes of current students. Also, I noticed that you have had the experience of relaxing with classmates at Scout's. Nothing better than watching Windwardside at dusk from the perch at the balcony there. Glad to know that this tradition continues. While you live there, I hope you never stop exploring Saba and the other amazing local islands! It is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. All the best and good luck with your studies!
