I heard the pope was catholic and a bear poops in the woods
I just hate stupid people. They should have to wear signs that say I'm stupid. That way, you wouldn't rely on them would you. You wouldn't ask them anything. It'd be like, "excuse me...oops, nevermind, I didn't see your sign."

Seriously, though, licensure in ALL 50 states may not be exactly true. Texas takes students on a case by case basis and is tough for all IMG's. Do a search of this forum for info on Texas if you want to know about that. Also, I think it's Kansas has an issue requiring schools to be up and running for over 15 years to license grads. I think Saba is on the verge of being around long enough. Basically, Saba will prepare you and licensure in all 50 states is probably possible, but like anywhere else, it is the student's responsibility to stay on top of what the states require to make it a reality. I do think Saba's admin is unusually helpful and friendly (at least so far, I'm only a first semester dude).
I came here from a small rural Texas town of about 1,000 people. If you know what small town living is like, you know what Saba is like. The only difference is we are in the caribbean, we study all the time, we have to conserve water, and everything costs 20 percent more. Oh, yeah...it's a lot more ethinically diverse here than small town USA.

510 points ok, right now i am filling out the application, and i need help
first of all i want to know what should i put in hobbies or extracriccular
second since i have grades from three different institution, how should i put them in transcript and how should i calculate total GPA? or is it better to leave that GPA area blank for them.
third how much do they look at application i mean overall?
fourth is that ok to send application first and then transcript and recomendation? is neighbor writing recomd letter ok?
512 points Those are good questions to ask the Gardner administrative office, to whom you will be sending your application. Their phone number is on the application, and they are very nice and friendly in my experience.Originally Posted by rosmineee2

1. Put in your hobbies whatever you enjoy doing.Originally Posted by rosmineee2
2. I calculated my GPA using all institutions (5 in total): all undergrad together then broke out from that the science portion of undergrad) and did the same with my graduate.
3. They at least perused the app. They wouldn't know whether or not to bother with an interview if they didn't know what you looked like on paper. BTW, The interview was very laid back. they sold me on the school and asked why I wanted to be a dr. and why at this point in my life (38 y.o.)
4. send in any order you can just get it all in. They'll let you know what they are missing. Take care of the stuff that will take longest first (e.g., I had a transcript coming from Germany so I ordered that before I even started the app).
5. Finally, the recommendations: I had 2 professional friends write mine for me. They both reference my professionalism and qualities that would make for a good physician but the interviewers were adamant about my needing 2 more: either from an academic or a clinical source, not friends. That said, I got an unconditional acceptance a week after the interview, so I'm not sure how badly they need those last 2 recs.... I'm still going to check into it.
Hope this helps.
