Other Loan Options.

Salutations:

Does anyone know if SABA plans on having other loan options available besides Teri and the IEFC? Thanks.

Looks like it

I spoke with the financial aid department the other day and they had something coming up. They wouldn't say what it was, but they implied that it would be good. Sorry I don't have more (I'm pretty curious myself).

Best of Luck!

That will be great.....i guess something mysterious..... ......the other option is to apply for bank loans...they are pretty reliable and hae lower interest rate compared to IEFC/TERI.....

Hmm, interesting. So why do most people stick to Teri then instead of private bank loans? Or am I wrong?

loans

They just put up an announcement today that Student Loan Xpress is going to be working with Saba to offer loans to students. I know nothing else really. I'll keep you updated.

Teri is easier to get, and it's easier to get more money through Teri in general than it is from a bank.

Sweet! Way to go Saba!
Here's the link, ya'll: http://www.healthxpressloan.com/
Just click on "click here to apply online" and then choose Massachusetts as the state on the next page that comes up. Saba and MUA are both listed. This loan looks like a good deal, it's interest rate is only slightly higher than the loan I got from Teri, but they let your cosigner off the hook if you make 48 consecutive on time payments. They have a $300,000 aggregate limit.
This seems much more legitimate than that Paras Foundation loan out of India, since Student Xpress is owned by the CIT group, a well known lender.
Cool.

Don't know. They have a toll free number listed at the top of the website, though.
