I got the thin envelope, but...

I checked my mailbox today and there it was, a thin envelope from Saba. I was afraid to open the letter at first, but when I actually got the courage to do so, it wasn't exactly bad news...yet.

Since I will be taking Organic Chemistry I and II over the upcoming summer, they said that they have put my application on hold for now, and will make "final evaluations" after I've sent in the transcripts for those classes.

So, I'm glad they didn't reject me outright, and now I will bust my behind to prove myself!

And also, has anyone else received the same kind of 'offer' as the kind I mentioned?

Just wanted to keep those who might be interested in knowing :P

Yes

Of course they take organic chem seriously. In many states you can't get a license unless you have had it. Saba doesn't want to start handing out useless degrees, or their reputation suffers. G

I wouldn't worry about it, this is not suprising at all. It seems like a pretty non-commital thing.
Just kick butt in O. Chem.

Thin Letter

I was in the same situation as you. I applied last September while I was still finishing Organic 2. I got the same letter you did. Once I finished it, I sent the transcript and got an e-mail a few days later for me to call and set up an interview. So don't worry about it. Do the best you can in Organic and send the transcripts in as soon as you finish. You'll be fine.

Andrew

Hey. I will be taking Org Chem 1 and 2 this coming summer. I applied and interviewed last fall and got a provisional acceptance letter pending successful completion of Org 1 and 2. But it came in a big envelope with all the rest of the papers for housing, deposit, loans etc
