If I were to fail a class would I have to repeat the entire semester with just one class to take? How does this all work? Doesn't Ross make you re-do the entire semester?
Please any info would be nice, I'm thinking about going to SABA
Thanks,

I am finally finished 5th semester so I think I am qualified to answer this. Basically upto this point you were allowed to be part of another semester so you could be taking 1st and 2nd semester classes at the same time and these students were known as IRREGULARs. HOWEVER, at the end of this semester all the IRREGULAR students received a MEMORANDUM in their mailboxes regarding the fact that from Jan 2005 onwards, you will have to be in 1 semester only to make life easier on scheduling classes. Thus, from what I know, as of Jan 2005, if you fail 1 class, you repeat that class and can NOT take any classes from the semester above. However, that DOESN'T mean that you have to take the rest of the classes that you passed over again!!! And your tuition payment is ONLY for that one class.

P.S. If anyone actually got one of these memo's or knows more about it etc., feel free to correct me.
This is interesting stuff, so if I'm in a class for Jan. 2005 and fail it....I will have to spend April's semester just taking that class over again, without moving on and using my time to do other classes???? That's a bad policy in my opinon, but was this a rumour or a memo that was passed around SABA?

I only saw the piece of paper that said MEMO on it. I was told word of mouth what it said which is included in the message above. Is it a bad policy? yes and no. It is irritating when you are in a class and there are tests or projects that need completion and the people in your group have other things from other semesters to do etc. Or when we have to have a 1.5 hour lunch break to accomodate students who are IRREGULAR students. Or when a class starts just as the other semesters class ends with no time to take a break and those students come in late... etc... so I can see it from both sides of the coin. But, since all classes last 2 hours, and there is not enough space for all 250 students in the cafeteria at the same time, it is NOT possible for all of us to have lunch at the same time, so the class times must be staggered. Thus, you run into a logistics nightmare. But I can see how if I failed 1 class and had to stay for 4 more months to do just that, and not be able to anything else to make next semester easier for me, then that would NOT be kool!

P.S. I love the irregular students BTW...
