    Shipping

For those from Colorado or further west, is it worth shipping anything besides books and computer supplies to Saba? Or is it cheaper to pick up other items in St. Marten? I just don't know if it is worth spending $300 plus with fedex to Miami and then spend another shipping fee from Miami to Saba. I'm positive I can find vegetarian stuff on SXM since there are vegetarians all over the world.

    Shipping

    WInters,

You shall definitely find lots of vegetarian stuff on Saba - my wife validated that when we went in August. She even found her favorite MorningStars!

As for shipping, it is definitely not worth spending all that extra money to ship to miami on top of shipping to saba. You can always hop over to ST. Marrten and do shopping at COst-U-Less once a month or so.

And can anyone confirm whether or not there is any duty or import tax on anything? I've been living in countries which charge very steep duty on just about everything.

Do you have to ship all you stuff to Miami and then to Saba? Can't you just fedex it directly there??

There are no duties, from anywhere, for anything, to the Netherland Antilles.

Instead of fedexing to Miami, try regular UPS.

You can fedex/UPS express/DHL things directly to Saba, but it's quite expensive - UPS express (3-5 business days, no matter what they claim) costs $35 for the first pound from the US, and the rates go up from there. Sending through a freight forwarder (*******-free or ICS) is a lot cheaper, but also much slower.

It's good to know you can fedex things right to the island, because I can get stuff ship dirt cheap through fedex
