Post The Good, Bad and Ugly about Saba and its Medical School...READ if plan to attend!!!

I will soon share my experience at Saba. I will share my experience with the school, profs, locals and more. I am not here to debate or argue with anyone. I will give the facts I have and share what I learned while on the island and give a few tips to those who want to take them. At the end of the day we all make our own decisions and learn from our mistakes.

#1 - MY best Advice: Cross Saba off your list IF:
    A) you are coming from the USA and require financial aid of any sort (If this is you seriously leave this thread now, Saba is not for you)
    B) you are coming from the USA and plan on doing the MBA program to pay partially fund the Saba tuition (big mistake)

I will add to your list above, "cross Saba off your list IF:"

    C) an applicant has taken the MCAT multiple times and cannot score above mid-20s composite, with no score lower than 8 on any subsection of the exam.
    D) an applicant who has a science GPA under 3.00. Obviously, the higher the better.
    E) an applicant who has not been successful at (C) and (D) above and in addition has taken science courses multiple times to raise the GPA.

    F) an applicant has not taken science courses simultaneously in a quarter/semester with most if not all taken at a major University setting, as opposed to a community college. In addition, majority if not all these courses should have a cummulative testing component (e.g. cummulative final exams).

    G) applicant has not demonstrated sufficient evidence of being well versed (realistically confident) of integrating information from various chapters in any given subject to draw conclusions and likely inferences eventhough it may not have been necessarily directly covered in lectures (e.g. being able to connect the dots to see the overall flow of information) - meaning "self-learner". Saba will not hold one's hand thru basic sciences thru all the material.

    H) applicant has not shown sufficient evidence of quick integration/memorization of vast amounts of scientific material in relatively short amount of time (e.g. block exams come around every 3 weeks at Saba) AND cannot hold onto that information throughout the semester to pass a cummulative final exam.
