Thread: Shopping List...Items We Should Bring to SABA?

What kind of stuff do you guys recommend bringing along with you when moving to SABA? I was going to bring my laptop and clothes...
Anybody else have suggestions about what they think is important or at least essential to bring along in your two suitcases? It's going to be difficult for me to pack only 2 suitcases! ahhh..

Do you think we should bring :
-blankets
-pillows
-printer
-books (or buy them once we get there?)
Etc...Etc..

I don't think we need all that stuff Hope. I will definitely bring my laptop, and some USMLE books. I am planning to start cracking Board exam from the first day. I can't wait to leave this city. It doesn't stop snowing at all . I will never miss this place I had enough.

I have been off island for a while but I would recommend you take a printer with extra ink pack, pillow and blanket, first semester books, DVDs, Laptop, Zip drive, CD burner, water filter, halogen desk light with spares, and lots of casual clothing with sport and hiking shoes. Be sure and bring any special food items you crave. All else is available there. Oh yes, quite a few of our people had their harddrives crash due to humid air. Were I you, I would bring a spare.

Thank you for the advice. I agree with you Getin...I really hate this cold weather. I can't wait for some nice weather.

Bigrock...do we need a raincoat? I heard there's a season where it just rains. About the pillow and blanket to bring along, doesn't SABA provide those or at least we can buy them there? I don't know if everything will fit in only 2 pieces of luggage.

I already bought my luggage, and it's not even Sept. yet. I think I will bring the USMLE books with me, but bigrock, can we somehow ship our first semester books to SABA or buy them when we get there? Too much weight to carry in airport.
