Thread: Your application will be put on “hold”

Hello Everyone,

I am applying to Saba Sept 2010. I submitted everything, and there was a problem with my transcript. It was lost in the mail. Saba allowed me to send in a student copy to satisfy the requirement. I received a letter saying,

"The Admissions Committee has completed a preliminary review of your application and based upon this evaluation we believe that in order to give your application fair consideration we must request that you submit an official transcript.

I look forward to receiving your transcript. In the interim, your application will be put on “hold” status. If we do not hear from you within six months, we will assume that you are no longer interested in attending Saba University School of Medicine."

Any ideas on how I should interpret this?

please explain to me what you do not understand? you have clearly stated that your transcript got lost. I'm sorry to hear that. and Saba has clearly stated that they will not preceed with your application till they get an official transcript. they are not rejecting you, they just want official documents. once they get the transcript, they will look at your application and make a decision.

and from what it says, if you don't send in a transcript withing 6 months they will essentially abandon your application and put it in a discard pile.

so, get that transcript in, now!

What I mean is can I infer anything from this request, since they already have all of my grades?

If you're asking whether or not you might be able to guess whether or not you got in the only thing you can infer is that they are going to consider you. Thats about it. Good luck.
