tis fine
you can call me a dbag if you want.
it's the setting we work in. it's a small community where you work with the same people all the time. so during lunch, breaks, ect it would just be the stuff we talked about. chicks, who is hot, what's going on with people, ect. it is hard to date when you ARE the job. with no time to do anything, we talked about co-workers ect. you may not like, and that's fine. you have a girlfriend and that's great, too. you are lucky. some of us are still looking for love. but, when it came time to get the job done, we would. i learned so much during my medicine rotation it's not even funny. how you look matters. first impressions count. if you smell patients are going to notice. if you wear the same pants every day, people will notice. yes, it's about patient care. but it's also about caring about yourself. if you don't, how to do you expect anyone else to care about you? face facts. in life you gotta be smart, good looking, ie on top of your game all the time. remember, it doesn't matter who fast you are going if you are going in the wrong direction. and my opinion on the matter is now closed. |

Interesting/enlightening posts Tequila. I'm so focused on the books that it's so easy to forget to take of myself. It makes me want to aim from that big jump of using the 50's to the 80s lbs...lol yes, even with the new gym in the old micro lab there's still no weights in between.

that is amazing...i thought no one would ever mention the 50 to 80 lb jump in dumbbels on valuemd....you just made my thanksgiving.
Although I will say being focused on the books is no excuse to not take care of yourself...gym or no gym. Cook, work out, run, watch a movie, drink a case of heinekens...do what you gotta do to stay sane. None of the people that dropped out or got left back from my class in my opinion were in any case academically deficient....they just were perpetually bugging out about stuff and never got their minds right. In fact...a lot of people that made it the entire way actually worried me the entire time...they still do......
