Ideally Slightly Used at Saba is the best spot, as they are far cheaper than getting them new. But they are often difficult to find, as there is a high demand, low supply of the ones you really need, ie anatomy, physiology.

Amazon.com or .ca is a more reliable way to get them (ship them before you get to saba for less hassle), but also far more expensive

I was wondering if anyone is selling their 1st semester (required) books or the BRS anatomy and histology books? If you are please pm me. Thanks a lot.
Also, is it better to buy all the required books before I get to the island, or wait till i'm there and try to buy them form students? Do we really need all the books on the list? What are the rest of you doing?

Hi everyone,

Reading through the thread, it is clear there are some differences in opinion of the usefulness of certain books. This is what I have come to understand:

1.) I should not purchase all the books for my comfort sake as the powerpoint slides provide enough information

2.) As for the books that I purchase:

>>Kaplan First Aid

Anatomy:
>>BRS gross anatomy
>>Nitters

Histology and Cell Biology:
-should i purchase the required book?

Intro to Infomedicine
-should i purchase the required book?

Thanks

trust me, im currently in 2nd semester and all you need is BRS anatomy, if you cant get CD version of netters then buy the book.

you DO NOT NEED BOOK FOR HISTO OR INFORMATICS.. they will simply collect dust and are not required, ppts for those 2 courses are more than enough.
