I recently had an interview. I got the news of being accepted to the Jan 2010 entering class a week after. When speaking of recommendations, I highly suggest that you should have an idea of what you are going to say to certain common questions like:
-Why Saba? (This was actually my first question)
-Why Medicine? (Second question)
Those two questions are the basis, the soul, of your acceptance. Even if they don't ask you these two questions you should bring it up at a certain moment and make sure you have one solid good answer for those two questions. Instead of going with the whole reading of your ''already made answers'' - try to pay close attention to your interviewers and make sure you let them know how bad you want. Another thing that would make a good impression is addressing them as you speak. Ask and learn their names at the beginning of your interview. They actually told me at the end how they liked the fact that I learned their name so I guess some students don't do that much. Like I said, keep it cool and stay calm and you'll do just fine. See ya soon!
Cheers
