lol. I see. If any..which canadian banks did you speak to? I spoke with TD and they said i might not even need a co-signer, this is also stated on their website. Not sure how true it is though.

Try OSAP
Try OSP, they are very easy to deal with and they told me Saba is a well-respected school in Canada.

The max you can get from OSAP i believe is around $10,000/yr don't quote me on this though, which is not adequate for tuition. It's good pocket change and interest starts around 6 months after graduation i think.

get an RBC line of credit loan plus OSAP...that is the best strategy for ontario students. tried and tested. not canhelp, not TD (i HATE TDs service)
if you get an RBC loan, get their student gold visa card when you sign up, and you will get a discount everytime you convert Cdn dollars to U.S., and travellers checks would be free as well on that card. i dont know what kind of interest rate you would get with an american loan...i dont know how easily you will actually get a loan considering even U.S. students are having problems getting funding...and i mean not just any loan...a loan with reasonable terms. not like 8% yearly interest! make sure to avoid things like 'no interest till graduation'...coz the interest compounds, and you will be kicking yourself when you end up paying 4 times the amount you borrowed. always get a Line of credit when possible and with the option of making monthly payments, even though you will feel like you will be bleeding money every month. atleast by the time you have graduated, you dont have any cumulative interest on a loan amount which is >150K...if you make that grave mistake of accumulating interest on graduation, you can kiss that nice house and car good bye for the next 10 years then. add your OSAP directly to your RBC checking account, so your monthly interst payment is reduced.
