Flights from Toronto

I am about to purchase tickets from Toronto to Saba. I need to be there for the Jan semester.

My question is to those of you who travel to Saba. What is the best place to purchase tickets?

Travel agencies are giving me quotes of close to $2k!! and I see around $1200 on travelocity.

Thanks in Advance.

My wife lives and works in Ottawa. She typically flies down on AirTrans.

I've found that it's usually best to purchase tickets directly from the airline, online. I saved myself about $300 doing that during the last break.

if class starts Jan 9th and exams end April 20th, when should I be there and leave?

I am thinking of being on the island several days before class, to get adjusted.

I checked air transat, they dont give return ticket like 4 months after. On in the same month. Even with this, its $1099.

It seems travelocity is the best option?

Buy a 1-way ticket. Buy your break tickets as round trip, after you find out exactly when finals are (the dates change).

I'd get there after the 1st, sometime during that week so you can get settled. It won't take but a couple of days, but nothing is open on Sunday, and with the holidays things won't be open normal days.

1 way ticket sounds like a good idea.

-how easy is it to buy a ticket when you are on the island?
-Saba doesnt care if I come with a single ticket?

As easy as anywhere else: You get on the internet and buy it. And Saba doesn't care about very much at all.

Yes, they do. And if you're 1st, your finals are probably on Wed, Dec 13. But that can change. It won't be later than the 15th.

Try "Travelcuts"... Even though my son purchased his one way tickey on-line, he later found out that they (TravelCuts) provide flight cancellation insurance (at no additional cost) if you purchase your tickets through them. You may spend a couple of bucks more, but, if you're that anal and insist on purchasing round trip tickets this may be something to look into. He also found that their out of country / province "health insurance" was
reasonable and provided the coverage he needed. I believe most of their offices are located on or close to university campuses... No harm in calling.. Good Luck..
