Ordering books online

Hey everyone,
I'm just wondering about ordering my books online and having them sent to saba.
I'm assuming a lot of you have already done so or are planning on it.

How long does it take after ordering before they get to saba.
And, I won't be at saba until May 2nd. Is it a problem having the books there before I get there. Does the school just hold until I get there? Is this common?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Matt

buying books online

Hey Guys,

I am doing the same thing. can you please tell me that when you order the books online, people who shipped them had no problem shipping it to saba? was there an additional cost? or you guys used any other mailing service??

Thanks :P

Books books and MORE books

Oooobie kaybies.

I've ordered books directly to Saba via UBooksOnline and Amazon. Either one is fine - UBooks will give you a current list of required texts, but I just like Amazon. If you order via Amazon use the address for the school provided in the handbook, but I left out the PO box. Just Saba U, The Bottom, Saba, Netherlands Antilles, and if you can squeeze it in somewhere, Dutch West Indies. I had mine in a couple of weeks. And they'll keep your books in the office - no worries. They know the deal, and they know who's coming. Don't be surprised when they know your name before you have a clue who they are!

For first semester I would definitely recommend the Board Review Series books, known around school as BRS. There's one for each subject.

After doing some price checking....

Amazon is cheaper after adding shipping costs. At Amazon, all the 1st semester required texts plus one First Aid book ran about $433. It ran about $487 at University Books Online.

University Books Online books were cheaper, but shipping was much more.

Netter's

I went on Amazon and noticed a new version of Netter's Atlas. The online bookstore shows the old one. Should I buy the old version? I prefer to buy the new one, but I'm scared that the lectures would structured around certain chapters and I might get lost. Anyone know what edition the prof is recommending? Thanks.
