neilc is on a distinguished road
same advice as always

AUC...longer track record, more grads, good in all states, stafford loans.

saba has done a great job in the time they have been around, but i still think the safe advice is to go with the school that offers you the least limitations now.

Both

I was accepted at both. I chose AUC for the reasons Neil mentionned and also that the island is a much better place for my family to be happy. Having said that, Saba is still an excellent choice. I agonized over the decision & my heart still goes out to Saba who has treated me with great care. Saba is also doing well, everyone there matched this year and some matched in some really nice & competitive residencies.

Ask yourself,

(1) is cost an issue?

(2) is the island an issue? The islands are completely different.

(3) is CA and 50 states an issue?

Go with your gut, good luck!

Saba vs AUC

I agree with the above posts. For me, my gut told me to go to Saba over Ross, although everyone told me to go to Ross but I have decided to attend Saba because I liked the way Saba administration handles things (organized) while for Ross .....(lets not go there)...I hope this is not the case for students who go thru setting up clinicals. CA is not an issue for me....so that's another reason for me. I talked to some ppl and they all said good things about Saba. Not fun island? Well, I am not going there on a vacation. It's only 2 years...I believe I can handle it. Plus, the match results are pretty good for Saba and I am hearing some good stuff for this year's match. Looks to me that Saba is going to the right direction. I did my own research and decided to attend Saba. So, I suggest u do the same and go where your gut tells u to go.

Good Luck!

either one is good

You also have to take into account what field you want to go into. I chose Saba over St Georges and AUC because I want IM and I didnt want a huge debt upon graduation. Between AUC and Saba the difference in the cost and class size is small and your decision of where to go should (in my opinion) be based on the CA issue and the preference of one island over the other.
