Canadians starting in May 2004
Hey everybody - I was just bored and found this forum while surfing the net the other day.
My name is Matt Brett and I'm starting at Saba in May. I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and graduated from the University of Manitoba. Just wondering how many other canadians are going to saba in may? Hope to hear from everybody soon, and I'll see evryone at orientation on May 3rd. Take it easy, Matt |

canadians
hey man,
sounds good - I didn't want to be the only canadian down there. What have you found out re: phoning back to canada? I'm pretty sure I'm booking my flight thru expedia.ca - it seems the cheapest (even though its still pretty damn expensive) I'm flying from winnipeg to st. maarten on may1st, and then taking the edge to saba on the 2nd See you there Matt |

Another Canadian Student thinking of going
Hey Guys,
I'm will be applying to SABA next year ('05) and wanted to know how much research you guys did and whether you are planning to come back to Canada. All I know is I don't plan on coming back to Quebec.... Anyways I'm hoping anyone has any good news regarding on how tough it will be to get into US residency if you are a canadian citizenship. I wonder if agreements such as NAFTA give us a better chance at obtaining residency than on students. SABA is the most established school I could possibly afford ( my parents can possibly afford). However, I dont' want to be a burden and was wondering in anyone had any sucess getting loans for the entire amount? Thanks Ken from Montreal |

Now that it's crunch time, I wish you all the best with packing, tickets and everything else we have to get done in the nick of time. Hope to meet you all in person. See you Soon Dish |

Counting the Days
My name is Mike Nguyen and I am a UBC grad, and I will be down on Saba round the 26th or 28th of April. My parents decided they wanted to see this 'rock' I was going to and made it a family vacation. In terms of a phone, I decided email will have to do (I'm horrible with calling anyway). It'll be great to meet and greet all of you when May 3rd comes around.
Hope your flights go well (I think I got stuck with an 8 hour layover). Mike |
