Salutations "JHarris":

Bars and clubs? Hmmm...casinos? Hmmm....sorry buddy, none of that on Saba. I guess there are places where you can drink such as Scouts and Swinging Doors. No casinos though. The nightlife here is quiet for the most part. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

A) A lot of people (mostly 1st semesters, but a fair number of uppers as well) go to Lollipops ( a bar) here to blow off steam.

B) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...but beer goggles tend to make that eye see clearer regardless of where you are.

Take my opinions with a grain of salt, I'm a 1st sem here.

I would suggest buying a set of Roland electric drums, packing them in your suitcase, and hauling them down to the little island called Saba.. Once there, you should be able to find some other "up-and-coming" musicians/medical students. Every three weeks you can transport all of your "gear" down to Swinging Doors for Open Mic Night!! Regardless of how terrible or amazing the noise is, it will be a good time! I would guess that there is still a PA system sitting around that was purchased by one of the profs.. This means you can amplify the noise!! If you work hard enough during the other days of the month, you can be a successful student while taking time for an occasional practice session.. Wow, what great times we had!!

Study Hard!

P.S. -- If all of this sounds like too much work, just ask E-d-d-i-e for a couple of the metal buckets he uses for "buckets of beer"... They can sound ok, but watch out for bruising your hands!!

Awwwww I remember how fun music night was... those were great times. BTW how was the CS? Are you still going for the 08 match? Not me, I had to take an LOA (health reasons). Oh well, I guess I got another year till I'm an MD, but eventually I'll get there (I hope)

Man I miss being a Rock God.... Ok, I sucked pretty hard at first, but we were palatable at the end at least. I'm sure it's not like it was in the good 'ol days when we were there, I hope someone is carrying it on....
