I sent off an email to one of the admissions counsellors and she sent me a copy of the application for deferral form (I don't think this is available in the "forms" section on the school site). The form is fairly basic, it asks for your regular personal information (name, address, original start date etc.), what your reason for deferral is (short explanation of a few lines required) and what semester you would like acceptance to. You also have to include a cheque for $500 for the deferment fee. However if your request is granted they will apply this fee to your tuition. If I recall I thought I read that if your request is denied they will refund your money, but I can't seem to find where I read this so best to check with the counsellor when you speak to him/her. I was accepted for the May semester back in August of 07, and applied for my deferral in January of 08, so in terms of timing, changes to the process, and spots left the situation may be a little different now.
Hope this helps! |
